Over 250 bikes and 500 visitors to our Honda Open Day & CB400F Celebration

· Over 250 motorcycles and around 500 visitors
· Over 50 CB400F fine examples for the 50th Anniversary
· Giant CB400F Anniversary Cake enjoyed by all
· Stunning display by the Honda Owners Club and The VJMC
· London Rock Band ‘The Maida Vales’ entertained the crowds.
At the end of the day David Silver was pleased to summarise the Open Day and the 50th Anniversary of the Honda CB400F as a great success.
The fine weather attracted over 250 motorcycles and around 500 visitors to the special occasion held at the David Silver Honda Collection museum and Spares Stores last Saturday, the 28th September.
45 fine examples of the Honda CB400F model were formally entered in the Best-in-Class Contest with another 10 examples arriving on the day, making over 50 Honda CB400F’s in attendance for the 50th Year Anniversary, probably the largest ever gathering of this iconic Honda model.
The six Honda CB400F Best-in-Class trophy awards were presented to the following:
1) The Best Most Original CB400F sponsored by Bonhams Auctions
Winner - Dave Heppell from Kent
2) The Best Restored CB400F sponsored by Dream Machine Superpaint
Winner – Chris Rushton from Nottinghamshire
3) The Best Customised CB400F sponsored by The VJMC
Winner – Philip Odlin from Lincolnshire
4) The Furthest Travelled CB400F (ridden to the event!) sponsored by the Honda Owners Club
Winner – Paul Gelsthorpe from Surrey
5) The Highest Mileage CB400F sponsored by Motion Works Management Ltd
Winner – Alan Lucas from Cambridgeshire
6) The Judges Favourite CB400F sponsored by David Silver Spares Ltd
Winner – Stephen Pendlebury from Denbighshire
The Honda OwnersClub and three regional branches of The VJMC put on a stunning display of members classic Honda motorcycles along with other related makes and models.Our live band along with free entry to the Honda museum collection plus hot/cold catering kept visitors entertained throughout the day.
