2019 Special Event… 50th Anniversary of the start of the SOHC Fours! – Saturday 28 September
On the back of our successful CB750 50th Anniversary Day last September we are pleased to announce our plans for a similar day in 2019 to celebrate all SOHC 4-cylinder Honda’s.
With the first of the SOHC Fours, the CB750, on sale from 1969 the design concept was quickly followed with models such as the: CB500; CB350; CB400F and the CB550 and CB650 as well as the later CB750F Super Sports models. This worldwide successful Honda range of SOHC Fours set the bench mark for many others to follow and also led the way into the 1980s Honda DOHC Fours.
On Saturday 28 September we will celebrate 50 years from the start of this amazing Honda motorcycle story enjoying the models many of us owned and enjoyed and today find compelling to restore and continue to enjoy as an investment!
Over 100 SOHC Honda Fours will be expected and the day will feature a contest for Best in Class with 10 awards, judged by an expert panel; Live 1970s rock-band music; Free entry to the museum; Hot/Cold Refreshments; Pub-style Honda Quiz! and much more!
The event is open to all, FREE to attend and FREE to enter in the Best in Class Contest with your Honda SOHC Four. Entry details soon to be available on our museum website.
